The life of Koiki Eddy Mabo to screen at the Sydney Films Festival hear from the stars on NITV 

Blackfella FIlms and Sydney Film Festival announce a new programing partnership which will see a new programming stream Blackfella Films Presents at the Sydney Film Festival 2012.

The Tall Man  will be released by  Hopscotch Films  on November 17 around Australia.   The feature documentary has just screened at the  2011 Toronto International Film Festival.  Read the reviews in Screen Daily and Sound on Sight.   The documentary is directed by Tony Krawitz and produced by Darren Dale, the film is based on the award winning novel by Chloe Hooper.

ABC TV has announced the production of  MABO, the true story of Koiki Eddie Mabo's epic fight.  The telemovie begins production on October 24 and has attracted some of Austrailia's finest acting talent.  Read More

Blackfella Films will produce Redfern Now, a 6 x 1 hour drama series for the ABC. The series will begin production in early 2012.

Rachel Perkins has been awarded the 2011 Australian International Documentary Conference Stanley Hawes award. The award recognises her significant contribution to documentary film making. 

Bran Nue Dae, directed by Rachel Perkins, has been released on DVD and is now available in stores nationwide.  Rachel is now working on another feature film due for release in early 2012.
